A one size fits all approach rarely works with chronic, long-lasting conditions. Chronic conditions tend to have an ebb and flow of intensity, duration, and onset.
Layering Your Care
This is an approach that I personally take to enhance my cannabis experiences. It is a practice that is used in other applications for medical treatments, cooking, arts, self-care, fashion…it is everywhere but we don’t realize that “layering” is involved. Ok, there is the obvious of a layer cake, layering a shirt, sweater, and coat in fashion; and what about physiotherapy, medication, and surgery for an illness? There are also the nuances of introducing subtle levels of flavor, colour, ingredient, texture, therapeutics. Today stacking might be an alternative description of the process by which I consume different forms of cannabis to maintain my wellness and layer it around pharmaceuticals, movement and massage. I consume RSO on a chocolate for longer effects but know that there is a delay. (Hours for me) I also vape flower or concentrates for rapid effect and know that the edible will take over. I also use our Terpene RichTM Relief cream to take the edge off on bad pain days and as the single layer when things are good. My flower library is often varied for hammering bad pain or easing some post physio discomfort. Are you layering? Stacking?
